Menachem Krajcer

Menachem Krajcer is the Senior Policy Analyst at the Applied Research Center. A Chicago native, he began his career as a student activist at Washington University in St. Louis where he received a B.A. in Psychology and Peace Studies. An expert on access to health care and welfare rights, Menachem previously served as Executive Director of the Idaho Hunger Action Council and Senior Organizer for the Idaho Community Action Network, researching, training and organizing poor and rural communities statewide. Menachem is the author of numerous policy studies, including: Falling Through the Cracks: How CalWORKs, Keeps Families Poor; Short Changed: Foundation Giving and Communities of Color; From Poverty to Punishment: How Welfare Reform Punishes the Poor; and most recently, Facing Race: California: 2006 Legislative Report Card on Race.
